And here is an updated version of that same farm that is smaller and also works on Legacy Console version too. It's a good farm and in the video Geekboy teaches you how and why the farm needs to be built a certain way. Here the is the Carrot or Potato farm that most people will be either using or adopting and tweaking different mechanics to fit their needs. Mumbo even used this exact one in Hermitcraft Season 5. Most other Wheat/Beetroot farms are just clones of this one or they have similar mechanics. Here is the auto Wheat or Beetroot farm that EVERYONE has been using for years: CR3WProductionz Auto Wheat Farm. You just need to build it far away from any villages or wooden doors. I put a repeater right after the comparator and looped the signal down to the bottom to get it working. The comparator signal wouldn't go through the block like his does. One thing I will say is that his Redstone collector system didn't work right on PS4. No Redstone at all.Įdit: here is the wheat farm design I use off YouTube. Build a room with The last row being too dark to plant (plant next to it and crops pop out), with a row of Hoppers under the dark row to collect carrots or potatoes. Their seed stock replenishes as they harvest so they can never pick up any other food.įor carrot and potato I use the fact that crops will pop out of the ground in low light situations. A lot of breeder designs let villagers pick up food willy nilly, if they have other crops or wheat on them, the wheat farm will break. Some tips - they have to be at minimum 65 away from all wood doors, or they will see it as a potential "village", stop harvesting and try to run there.įor the wheat farm I use (big square field, villager trapped inside, with a minecart hopper running under it) the villager just have a full inventory of 8 stacks of seeds. There are tricks to it that require thorough knowledge of village and villager mechanics or you can get frustrating issues that break farms. You can use any brown coat to harvest, like a Shepard or fisherman. Technically beetroot should work the same as wheat, but I've never done it.
